Nationwide’s attempts to sell its Protected Retirement Income solutions were failing because they were overcomplicated. We re-framed the story around a simple truth: we’re doing all kinds of things to extend our lives (kale smoothies? cold plunges??) But what if it works? Plan for a long life so your money doesn’t run out before you’re done living it up.

Life, elevated.

To counter a long-standing negative perception, Nationwide’s Life Insurance division revamped its entire underwriting process and introduced Soar, a revolutionary digital application tool that combines data with human judgment—elevating Nationwide Life beyond its competitors.
